Curriculum vitae

Claudia Mustroph (née Owczarek) studied at the University of Göttingen and the Paris-Sorbonne University. She holds a master’s degree in ‘Teaching English as a Foreign Language’ (TEFL), in ‘Teaching French as a Foreign Language’ and in Philosophy. From 2010 to 2012, she was a scholar of the Hertie Foundation. In September 2016, Claudia Owczarek joined the Chair of TEFL at LMU Munich as a research associate.

In her doctoral thesis, Claudia conducted a mixed-methods-study on teachers' beliefs on multimodal literature in the EFL classroom. Her PhD project was completed with distinction (summa cum laude) in February 2022.

Claudia Mustroph is a member of the DGFF (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Fremdsprachenforschung) and alumnus of the Graduate School Language and Literature Munich (Class of Language Education). She is also a member of a third-party funded ERASMUS+ project on digital citizenship education in the foreign language classroom with project partners from Ireland, Portugal, Italy and Latvia (DiCE.Lang consortium).
