Curriculum Vitae

Mischa Tomic’s journey through English has been anything but linear. He began with an interdisciplinary dive into English Studies—linguistics, literature, and cultural studies—earning his bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš, Serbia. From there, he spent several years teaching Military English and Intercultural Communication to officers, as well as working with young and teenage learners in private language schools across Serbia.
Bavaria then became his home, where he completed his master’s at LMU, specializing in teaching English as a foreign language and literature. His career has been shaped by both versatility and curiosity—teaching an array of General and Business English courses, English for Specific Purposes, and Academic and Technical English at private universities in and around Munich. He also spent three months in Baltimore supporting an after-school art and literacy programme for children from immigrant backgrounds.
Mischa’s passions lie in learner diversity, eclectic approaches, and learner identity, along with the ever-emerging opportunities in teaching, learning, and learning to teach.
