Curriculum vitae

Meral Roeben obtained her teacher´s degree (First State Examination) for secondary school (“Gymnasium”) in English, business administration, economics and law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in 2019. From 2020 to 2022 she was a trainee teacher at different schools in Bavaria. In February 2022, she completed her training with the Second State Examination.
In April 2022, Meral joined the chair of TEFL at LMU as a doctoral research associate. Her PhD project is supervised both by the TEFL chair (Prof. Lütge) and the chair of “Empirische Pädagogik und Pädagogische Psychologie” (Prof. Fischer) at LMU. Meral’s research includes extending the KMBD simulation fostering teacher training for the EFL classroom. She is also involved in the DigiLLab and the KMBD.

Meral has received two scholarships from Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung (“Studienförderung” and “Promotionsförderung”).
