TEFL Net Munich

TEFL Net MunichThe Chair of Teaching English as a Foreign Language strives to systematically develop activities, projects and discourses inside and outside LMU - coordinated via the "TEFL Net Munich". Serving as a platform for various links and connections of theory and practice as well as research and teaching, the TEFL Net Munich provides ample opportunity for local and global cooperation. Based on three pillars - TEFLconnect, TEFLforum and TEFLinternational - we are building up a network of topics, discourses, institutions - and people - working in the field of English language teaching.

  • TEFL Day and English Language Seminar Days

  • TEFL Lounge ("didaktischer Salon") on practical issues of teaching English - for students, teachers and trainee teachers (three times per term)

  • TEFL Lab ("Lernwerkstatt Englisch") for media projects, student teacher interaction, theory/practice projects

  • TEFL Workshops held by staff, students or teachers (media literacy certificate in preparation)

 

  • Munich Lecture in TEFL (presenting an outstanding international scholar, annual event)

  • DocNet Language Education (doctoral colloquium in Strobl, Wolfgangsee, Austria, in cooperation with the Universities of Graz, Regensburg and Klagenfurt, annual event)
  • International peer-reviewed journal CLELEjournal.org (Children´s Literature in Second Language Education, two editions per year: www.clelejournal.org)

  • International research-based seminar (biennnial, in preparation)
