Curriculum vitae

Sandra Schäfer studied English and German Studies at FU Berlin and Otto-von-Guericke University/ Magdeburg. In 2009 she began her Teacher Training at Erasmus-Grasser Gymnasium in Munich. After receiving her Second State Examination she started her professional career as a secondary school teacher of English and German at Tuscaloosa Academy (Alabama/USA) where she taught students of German and English mother tongue. In 2013 she took the position as a teacher for German and English at Derksen Gymnasium/ Munich which has an inclusive approach. There she became experienced in teaching students of different degrees of disability who have been successfully integrated into regular grammar-school classes. She joined the Department of Didactic of English Language at LMU in 2016 as a research assistant.
