From 2008 to 2016, Benedikt Meininger studied English, History, and Social Sciences to become a teacher at a grammar school at the University of Passau, from which he graduated with the first state examination. He also holds two bachelor’s degrees in European Studies and in Educational Sciences. During his studies he spent six months as a language teaching assistant at an elementary school in Sweden.
In 2018 Benedikt Meininger successfully completed the second phase of teacher training, whereupon he held teaching positions at different schools as well as the chair of TEFL at the University of Passau.
In 2021 he joined the team at the chair of TEFL at the LMU as lecturer and as a team member in the ERASMUS+ project DiCE.Lang (Digital Citizenship Education and foreign language learning).
