Curriculum Vitae

Max von Blanckenburg studied at the University of Göttingen and the University of Gloucestershire, England. He holds a master's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and Physical Education. In Göttingen, he taught at the English Department and the Institute for Teacher Education (Zentrale Einrichtung für Lehrerbildung). In 2015, Max joined the Chair of TEFL at LMU Munich for a research and teaching position. His doctoral thesis explores the question as to how a focus on rhetoric in English language education can help foster learners' analytical and productive abilities.

Max von Blanckenburg is an active member of the DGFF (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Fremdsprachenforschung) and of the Graduate School Language and Literature Munich (Class of Language Education), where he is doctoral speaker. Furthermore, he has been exploring and researching drama-based approaches in both teacher education as well as EFL settings in and out of school.
