Clarissa Bittner studied English, German and Religious Education at Munich University to become a teacher for secondary modern school. She has been teaching at Realschule since 2009.
She has stayed in touch with Munich University ever since. Now, after some years of practical teaching, she is happy to have the opportunity to give students insights into teaching and to combine practical and theoretical learning and teaching. She joined the Chair of TEFL at LMU Munich in 2018 and is still active as a teacher.
Her special fields of interest include the role of readers and books in the English language classroom.
Due to her work for the Bayerischer Realschullehrerverband, she is an expert in questions on the Referendariat (especially for Realschulen).
For Raabe Verlag, she has written several teaching materials.
